SAFETY

TREE PRUNING

Tree branches tangled in power lines cause countless power outages. Plan before you plant. Choose the right tree for the area, and be sure it has plenty of room to grow without creeping into power lines. For questions about pruning around power lines, call your retail electric provider.

CALL BEFORE YOU DIG

Digging any hole 16 inches or deeper can quickly become dangerous and costly if you hit a power line or other service line buried underground. Always call before you break ground.

DANGERS OF METER TAMPERING

When individuals try to bypass an electric meter, they not only break the law; they risk exposure to live wires and possible injury. If you suspect meter tampering, report it to Oncor at 888.313.6862.
