WHAT IS THE CHEF PROGRAM?

This NEW program is designed for the Oncor service area foodservice market. Oncor offers incentives to participating restaurants of all sizes, hotels, and commercial kitchens, for purchasing qualified high efficiency foodservice equipment that meets ENERGY STAR® specifications. The new Commercial High Efficiency Foodservice (CHEF) Program can help owners improve operations and create energy savings.

As some of the largest energy consumers in commercial real estate, upgrading commercial kitchens with more energy efficient technology can increase energy savings and enhance your bottom line!

CHEF PROGRAM QUALIFICATIONS?

Any entity that installs eligible energy efficiency measures at a facility with nonresidential electricity distribution service within Oncor’s service area can participate in the CHEF Program as a Project Participant.

There are two options to participate in the CHEF Program:
Midstream Program Participants who sell equipment to end users, including Wholesale Distributors, Direct Sale Manufacturers, Direct Sale Manufacturer Representatives, Brand Dealers, Design Consultants, and more.

Downstream Program Participants are the end users, including commercial electric customers with measures in their own facilities.

Oncor’s eligible equipment measures and incentives that can help reduce the upfront cost of eligible commercial equipment.

Vertical or Horizontal Reach-in Refrigerator $50 - $150
Vertical or Horizontal Reach-in Freezer $50 - $250
Demand Controlled Kitchen Ventilation $700
Zero-energy Doors for Refrigerator Cases $30 - $150
Eligible units must be compliant with ENERGY STAR® specifications.
Incentives vary based on equipment size, temperature and sanitation method.

Service Providers are third parties not affiliated with Oncor. Oncor is not a party to the agreement between the consumer and the Service Provider. The Service Provider is solely responsible for the performance of the work and contract fulfillment. Any listings of Energy Efficiency Service Providers available from this website are not associated with or endorsed by the Public Utility Commission of Texas. Most energy efficiency programs are available from January – November on an annual basis.
