Whether it’s a stormy night or a sweltering day, you can be sure Oncor line workers are braving that foul weather to keep the lights -- and air conditioning -- on for the rest of us.

Our Oncor linemen and women and other front-line employees complete hundreds of hours of specialized training to ensure the power stays on for over 10 million Texans. And they do it in the safest possible way.

That’s why each April 18, we celebrate National Lineman Appreciation Day and say “thanks” to the line workers and all Oncor employees who help keep the electricity flowing to over 400 communities.

This year, as many of us are staying at home to stay safe, our Oncor linemen continue to load up in their bucket trucks each day to install new service, upgrade electrical equipment or respond to power outages.

For these essential employees, it’s all in a day’s work. Thank you!

Check out our interview with two Mineral Wells, Texas employees to see how they stay safe and healthy while working in these uncertain times.
