Reunion Tower in Dallas has been an icon of the city’s skyline and the Texas landscape for the last 46 years. Today, the Tower features a “Thin Line Light Show” to honor all frontline workers for their commitment and dedication to their communities, including frontline utility workers like those from Oncor.

Since its first light show in 1977, Reunion Tower is dedicated to showcasing the spirit of the city. From flying basketballs for big wins of the Dallas Mavericks to bands of rainbow colors to celebrate LGBTQ Pride Month, Reunion Tower embodies the pride of Dallas and its people.

This latest recurring “Thin Line” light show features colors representative of each first responder. Each color is featured as a band of light around the ball, one after the other, in honor of each group.

The colors include red for firefighters, blue for police officers, white for medical personnel and emergency medical services (EMS), yellow for dispatchers and a combination or orange and white for utility workers.

Every Tuesday beginning at sunset, Reunion Tower begins the light show to commemorate the hard work of these frontline teams and give thanks for the sacrifices made to provide essential services to communities across the country.

Thanks to the team at Reunion Tower, Oncor frontline employees are celebrated and acknowledged for their selfless acts of service.

As Texans and neighboring visitors travel to Dallas, the Reunion Tower is a constant in the horizon. Visitors can explore the tower and travel either 837 steps to the top, or take the more popular 68-second elevator ride.

As the 15th tallest building in downtown at 560 feet high, the landmark welcomes visitors, greets commuters and animates the Dallas night sky with its building lights. Now fitted with 259 custom LED light fixtures since the replacement in 2011 of the original warm-white lights, the Tower continues to evolve and illuminate the Dallas skyline in new and entertaining ways.

The top of the Tower features both sightseeing and formal dining. At an elevation of 470 feet, the observation deck is also available to visitors to look out at the city and the sprawling Dallas landscape.
