AUSTIN, Texas – (January 9, 2022) – Today, Oncor announced Mindy Carr has been named Vice President of Governmental Affairs. Carr has served as a Director on the Oncor Governmental Affairs team for nearly 15 years and succeeds Walt Jordan, who is retiring after more than 40 years with Oncor – the majority of which were dedicated to overseeing state and federal governmental and public affairs.
“With customers across 40 percent of Texas’ legislative districts, it’s incredibly important that Oncor’s Governmental Affairs team has a leader with the experience and knowledge necessary to effectively represent our company, our employees and the communities we serve. Mindy is uniquely qualified to serve in this role and I look forward to seeing her continued success within our team,” said Matt Henry, Oncor Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “I also join my fellow colleagues, as well as countless federal, state and community leaders, in thanking Walt for his many years of hard work and advocacy on behalf of Oncor and our customers. We wish him and his wife Kim great success as they transition from 40 years of service to our company.”
Prior to joining Oncor, Carr was Director of Governmental Affairs for the Texas Land Title Association, where she was awarded the President’s Award for her outstanding work during the 2007 legislative session. She also represented the Texas Apartment Association and worked for both the Texas Senate and House of Representatives. Carr currently serves on the Board of the Texas Civil Justice League and is active with several community organizations. In her free time, she enjoys golfing and is a proud graduate of Texas Tech University.
