Targeted Industrial Program

General Program Overview

The Targeted Industrial Program assists industrial customers in identifying key areas for energy efficiency improvements and recommends ways to save energy and improve the efficiency of the facility's systems and processes. The Program provides financial incentives for the installation of approved energy efficiency measures. The amount of financial incentives is based on the reduction of electricity demand and consumption.

Eligibility Requirements

Industrial Energy

This Program is designed for facilities in Oncor's service area that receive a transmission level point of delivery of 69 kV or greater from Oncor. Preference will be given to facilities with the following attributes:

  • High normalized demand, energy use, and cost ($/lbs of production, kW/ft2 peak, kWh/lbs production)
  • Energy assets requiring repairs or replacements

Qualifying Measures

Most energy efficiency measures in retrofit or new construction applications that reduce electric energy consumption and summer daytime peak demand are eligible. Following are examples of eligible efficiency measures.

  • Process improvements
  • Chiller replacement and optimization
  • Compressed air system optimization
  • Fan and pump motor efficiency upgrades
  • Renewable energy generation
  • Lighting upgrades

Benefits of the Targeted Industrial Program

  • Identification of faulty and inefficient equipment and recommendations of energy efficient upgrades
  • Recommendations to increase the efficiency of processes and systems
  • Incentives for the implementation of approved energy efficiency measures
  • An opportunity for your staff to work with expert engineers to increase their knowledge of efficient equipment and effective operation of building systems
